Dawn, day one

No before-story here — the documentation starts when the trucks do. First light, ladders up, tarps down before any debris moved. Four houses up the street, another Skyline roof was documented the same season.

November 4, first light. Ladders set, trailer in the drive, crew already on the ridge.

November 4. The drone up with the sun — tear-off underway, tarps skirting the house.

Stripped by mid-morning

A two-story roof, taken to bare wood while the morning shadows were still long.

November 4. Shovels under the old shingles, decking already showing along the ridge.

November 4. Straight down — the deck bare, the first run of underlayment starting at the edge.

The blue layer

Dry-in the same day: synthetic underlayment across every plane, and the first shingles climbing before the drone came down.

November 4. Over the dry-in — blue underlayment, the shingle field advancing, crew across the roof.
November 4. Overhead at the dry-in — CertainTeed synthetic down, shingles already started on one slope.

Bad wood came out

Tear-off is the only inspection that can't be argued with. Where the decking was rotten, it was cut out and replaced with new wood — photographed, not described.

November 4. Rot in the torn-off decking — the reason tear-offs beat overlays.

Day two: shingles, then the drone

By the second afternoon the roof was a finished field, and the same drone that watched the tear-off flew the finals.

November 4. Atlas Pro-Cut HP42 starter — the bundle label, photographed in the truck bed.

Don't take our word for it.
